This manual has been created specifically for the purpose of use with the online Red Baron version that is played on   the ImagiNation Network (INN). Some of the tactics and terminology used herein will not be compatible with real life Air to Air combat.  The prevalent delay, and reality level (or lack thereof) present  in the online RB causes us to alter tactics to best suit   the game we are playing in the hopes of emerging victorious.
 
                This manual is divided into chapters. Each chapter will cover  specific information. You may wish to print a hardcopy of this   manual and keep it handy for quick reference when flying. The statistical information used on the WWI planes is taken directly  from the Sierra/Dynamix manuals, and the INN documentation. The reason for this is that whatever the actual historical properties of the planes we are now submitted to the programmers interpretation of them.
 
                In this manual I have attempted to make everything understandable to a Novice level player. In some cases I have over-simplified, for those of you who know more, please don't be offended! I have tried to keep the verbosity down, and the utility high. In some instances if I become too wordy, it is where I feel that the extra  effort will benefit those players who have had little experience with the game. Feel free to skip over extended paragraphs under a certain heading if you are already familiar with the heading. The  most useful information should be contained in the first paragraph or so.
 
                First for your benefit I will provide a dictionary of terms that will appear in this manual. If you find terms in the manual that you do not know, or understand, please take the time to look them up,  or E-mail me so I can include their definitions in future revisions.  Terms that appear in CAPS, within the definition of a word, are themselves terms included in this dictionary. Also throughout the  text I have usually capitalized the first instance of a dictionary  words appearance.
